I recently spend much time in the train. I have to travel about 1h45 to school three times a week - and back. Of which the majority of the time is spent in the train or at the station. So I bought a dummy and tried to make these numerious trips a bit fruitfull. So below some doodles I drew either in the train or in some boring class. All are untouched after scanning, appart from resizing and jpg compression. (no sharpening, touchups etc)

My first attempt at a city view. It wasn't meant to be realistic (hence no perspective). Just jotting down some building ideas:

A hairy critter:

To lazy to draw the other eye so I tried to do something cliche:

This was a quick cartoony sketch for a college project. Some Buzz Lightyear inspired actiondoll that had to bring light to little children who were afraid in the dark. The end result was way different though:

The Afraid in the dark project in a further advanced stage, another quick sketch. ( The final results can be found here: http://student-kmt.hku.nl/~groep04/0.html )

It's a tree:

On a day where I forgot my dummy, had to draw on lined paper. Some mixture of sci-fi and fantasy. She looks rather scary and I don't like the end result at all. But then again I wasn't really going for anything and just drew up what came up in me as I went along:

A brave alien explorer:

Must be the eye the other drawing was missing ¬.¬ I was wondering if I could draw a human eye without references:

Hehe, I like this one. Started out as a hand study. The rest came naturally :) :

Last but no least another attempt at drawing a landscape. I'm quite proud of this one :smug: Some detail lost in the resizing proces and I kinda screwed up the sky I think. Gotta practice on that:

Sexy. I REALLY like the tree one. Would you be interested in doing a web design layout in sketch?

Don't know I've got quite some projects piling up lately. What exactly are you looking for in the design?

Edit: Oh, and thanks :)

<3 the hand one..

The landscape is good, but I notice that the lines seperating the mountains from the sky are a bit too pronounced.

All in all though, awesome work.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

I can help but think of that scene in Top Secret where Val Kilmer is on the train and painting the landscape as it rushes by him. Since, afterall, you said you were drawing on a train...:P

I like it, but then again I can't draw worth **** so...:P
I had a blog. It sucked.

By the way, this is just a suggestion, it looks like you've got your shading down pretty good, you should start working on your anotomy, etc.

The hairy critter's front legs are sort of bent inwards...looks kinda weird mon.

Anyway, cool drawlings!
