I will post many pics!

I spent like... 3 times longer on this one.

And it actually looks like a tree now.

The branches have solid wood parts but u cant see em cos I regrouped too much and it made em dissappear, they'll still be in the final version.

The first tree uses 985 *polygons*

whooooops! didnt mean textures.

only 4 textures are used

oh, and then i tried using double the polygons, and it came to the bottom pic, but i reckon its too hard on the specs of jk. [unless... Sith2 :em321: ]

So i'll probably stick with #1

Awesome!

You should export it for different games too.

I can only pray you meant polies. 985 polygons wouldn't be so bad... But if you meant textures:

Texture overkill. Seriously. Cut down on the number... 985 for one object is ridiculous. That would be taxing on just about any system. I don't think most modern games even get anywhere near that, let alone one like JK.

He meant polies...or how do you think could he have slapped a thousand textures over that poor tree?

LKOH thats 990 textures on a LOD model within a small distance using the RVTS cog what-cha-macall it. Any tree template after the max distance would be only 4 polies.

so at any one time, i think only 5 -10 maximum of those trees would be used.

And remember my guns use 3000 polies sometimes....

And the game didnt' splode.

I would just like to say that after a brief time away from my computer, I'm back to work on the mod. I've already found the crashing bug (just needs a little more tweeking to fix) and have a pretty good idea about the berreta bug.

my School life has officially ended with the end of my exams, the girl iv had a crush on for ages just confessed she's liked me all this time, i went out last night and got trashed and had the time of my life, the only thing that could make this perfect for me is the imminant release of this mod!
