Note - Read Night by Elie Wiesel if you haven't, amazing book about one man's survival of the Holocaust, that is where I pulled the title from. Hehe :em321:

Mmm, good, though I don't see a whole lot of unity in the textures. And might I suggest that you justify that awesome lighting?

And this shot just doesn't look good at all. I can't tell wtf is going on.

I'm a little bit confused as well. The circular room is also much too bright in comparison with the other rooms, making it look really out of place. Try showing us some more perspective shot of all the glass stuff, or perhaps an overhead shot from JED so we can see what's going on.

Yeah I don't like the textures at all.. kills the level.

The 3rd pic in the 2nd post.. reminds me of a level from perfect dark.

Agreed. MaDaVentor made those textures as 'sets'. He didn't mean for them to be used all together. Additionally, I love MaDa's textures.... but there by no means realistic. Most are flat out cartoony. Using cartoony textures makes yer map look cartoony.... and I don't recall ever seeing an episode of the Ninja Turtles called 'Death Knell'

I think the bright room is a nice touch. It's a cool contrast between the bright, clean, grand center room and the dingy, dark rest of the map. Very cool.

You like the textures, you don't like the textures, gah.... One or the other :p Gimme a point in the right direction if you don't like them please.

Axis - It's a prison execution block with an entrance the brightly lit room.
halucid - One thing at a time ;)
Archjay - Thats a view of the execution room from the 'viewer stands' (if you will) The shadow is being cast from the cross, tho, with halucid, I'll be adding 3dos to justify the lighting.

And lighting tweaks still aren't done yet, and some textures, I now noticed, got alittle shifted when I ran the lighter plugin.

I think we all agreed that the textures have to go. Here, try some of these textures. I think they're closer to what you are shooting for. Just try not to have such contrasting textures next to each other.... it's not easy on the eyes.

They look better when its from a distance, but they feel alittle bit too low res to be good on the whole. *shrugs* I'll retexture using a blend of both and post some pics but...yea.........

That's exactly what you shouldn't do. Trust me, mixing MaDa's textures with Schwenz's will only make those MaDa textures look worse. Retexture with just one set. Beleive me, there's a reason why textures are organized into sets in the 1st place.
