No problem, just pretend it's Freelancer! Move your mouse cursor (the Blue Reticle) over the Red Leading Reticle, and watch that poor sap indicated by the Yellow Targeting Reticle get blown to bits! :D

I second SOTD. Oh and, it would be REAL nice if this stuff could get uploaded to a file hosting service.

Ruthven: I would, but those are GoZ Studio 3dos and Textures, the best I'll get without slugging someone into making new ones. ;)

Z@NARDI: It'll be a day or two before I'm done ironing out things with 0.3, and I suppose you could use a joystick, but the main idea is to go from FPS to Flight Sim and back, using the mouse. :)

KnightRider2000: File hosting service? Like the Hub? :p

Thanks for the SotD nominations. :D

Another amazing project! I'm impressed.

@ HR -- You could ask the guys over at the XWA Upgrade project ( www.xwaupgrade.com ) to use the models they redid. I should warn you though, it'll be a lot of mats to convert. However, you could always just delete the whole cockpit/pilot and make the glass opaque.

Hey, whatever happened to that Metroid-Samus ball mod?

I want to make my own spaceships for it, that couldn't be too hard could it?

If this isn't new, I sure haven't seen it before. Guess I should check out the Hub more often. Very impressive, I'm really interested in seeing how it handles. I (like every other cogger) experimented quite a bit with pilotable ships back in the day, but was never happy with the responsiveness of the controls.

It's a bit ambitious, but I'm going for it. :D

I'm well aware of my good old chums at the XWA Upgrade Project. :D (Editing XvT and XWA were some good times, but no programming language. ;)) I even asked if I could use the models, however, the only way to do that is to use the OPT to 3do converter and the OPT Texture Extracter. I had attempted to do this with the X-Wing, but the texture co-ords are severly messed up. :(

It's only as hard as making a model and setting the co-ords for the lasers to fire from. ;)

And Fardreamer, you can check out 0.2 from the hub. I think the PYR controls will be to your liking. :)

Awesome work as usually dude.
One question though, whats the purpose of the red crosshair? (not the leading one the other one in the pic)

Awesome. I am speechless.

We need a new download though. :D

The red plus/addition/+ crosshair is the centerpoint of the flight controls. If the cursor is over it, you won't Pitch or Yaw. Like a joystick.

New download in a day or two. :)

Have you looked over the cogs I sent you? You should really look at the cursor code, it doesn't have the problem of going off screen or being limited with a curved boundary. No offense, but I think the cursor code I sent you would work much better than what you have. HOWEVER, I absolutely LOVE your camera! If the target leading works properly, then I would be TOTALLY in love :)

Nice work so far. Just keep it up :D

Will you be able to make complete loops?

In past starfighter mods, you can't look farther than straight up or straight down, as upposed to being able to pull up and do a complete flip. Is this going to be different?

Looks awesome so far.

@ HR -- I have the A-Wing completely ready to go to 3do. Well, I have it in 3ds format anyways with proper UV and all. I put it in SW Battlefront.

Seriously, use my cursor code, yours just won't work when you put in the menus. I'll even help you understand it if you need, but the other awesome work you've done shouldn't be wasted on that mouse system. (oh and you don't need to have the player follow the ship, you can tele him somewhere else) I made a few updates to my cog (key trapping for cam change and proper engine killing). If you want anything from me, code, explanations, whatever, I will help you.
I just want you to know that you don't have to reinvent every wheel.

Still very cool.

Please excuse the lateness of my reply. My dad bought me a new mobo for Christmas and I've been working on getting it installed + doing the hard drive/partition shuffle. :)

Thanks for the comments and SotD. I believe it's my first. :D (Might have been a TDiR one in there somewhere, but that would have to be Shred ;) )

Acharjay, I'm not sure why the T/F would show up as dflt.3do for you and not others. Post your system specs, it might have something to do with not listing the 3do in the level.jkl and available memory to JK.

SG-Fan, I know your cogs are great, however, it'd be a real pita for me to have to dump what I have and recode everything to use your cogs. :( It'd be different if I had something buggy/halfway working. Menu's work just fine with the way I've cogged it all up and aside from a few things created that could be done with vectors, it's tomato-tomahto as far as I'm concerned, no offense.

I understand that you like your code, and it would be a pain to change, but I was noticing that when you have the cursor in a corner and you roll the ship, the cursor position actually moves without touching the mouse.
It really isn't a big bug, but it's a result of the way you handle the mouse. I'm not saying your way is bad, it works. It's just the other way allows an exact x/y positioning of the mouse. If you want, I'll code it in myself since I know the new code beter. Or I'll drop it since I'm sounding like an annoying kid now :p

I just don't honestly see myself ever having time to finish a project, and I want my code to live on since I feel that it would could make your job easier in the long run (then again, you know what works best for you).

Hmmm, I'll have to add the T/F 3do to the listing in the level.jkl and reupload it. Stay tuned. ;)
