... because I havent been working on the mod much at all, which is due out ... When I Dammn well feel like it

Instead, I've been doing models for the levels.

These are for the 1st level, the SGC base.

Grismath is helping me with the level, (the 1st one of many to come) and if I get what i want done, it will be the most enjoyable and atmospheric single player mission level pack so far *erm, i hope*

Opinions? Flames? Grants for finishing it? (I need incentive)

New player model now has realistic weapon attachments. Zat, pistol, grenades, water canteen, knife, p90 and staff now show up on the player, unless you select them, which appears in the players hand (AddThingEx verb NOT used, cos its LAME)

Well, I HATE your berrata cog. I'm still trying to find the bug in it, but it's not being consistant. Sometimes it wont dismount properly, but other times it will. ARGH!!! I did find a few errors with the array set up, and that made it work more often, but still not always. I'm going to seriously kill that cog!!!

i wouldnt worry about that, Slaw and Dpat [aka. Ruthvens agents of cogging doom ;)] fixed it.

Sure, oh and BTW, I just found the problem. There was a second deletething() verb being called about the same object. That managed to delete the next weapon right after it was created.

I gave out all my coupons on the street, but I will offer my first born as an apprentice.

On the computers, are some of the bigger buttons shaped? Or is it all a flat texture (I can't tell for some reason)

most are flat texture, but the bigger buttons, the tuners/knobs [thats right I said Knobs :rolleyes: ] are actual shapes, but using as few polygons as I can.

The main computer console is not yet finished. so far, its 990 polygons, the finished one should be around 1400.

The command room itself is the most complex room in the whole level. To re create it with a sufficient quality, I will end up having to use 8,000 to 12,000 polygons worth of models [things i mean, this sheeat just CANNOT be done with archi] . and in total, the final level may use around 2000 things! :eek:

Fortunately, we're using the rtvs cog and most models are repeated.

Considering their size, the knobs don't need anymore detail, as from the player's perspective, they'll look like cylinders.

The problems are much deeper than the ones you described, however, we've got them covered, I am a cogger before anything else. ;)

Even in the first shot the knobs look bad. The sharpness of the knobs and the softer controll panel don't match. They just look out of place, almost like they're photoshopped. (Were this real)

Well, considering I was never told what the cog was supposed to do...

I just found the bugs that were causing obvious errors (mainly to many deletething() statements being called. Such as every killed message in the weapon cogs managed to be called when the player died, causing every deletething to be called, causing the game to crash.) and the fact that the array was written as though it were C++ rather than JK cogs. If there are no more errors, then I shall return to my ship stuff.
