The statue is placed... but doesn't show up in game. I don't know why. :/

be sure you have it assigned to the right sector. If there is something wrong with the 3do, it will show up as a dflt.mat textured cube in-game.

Yeah, I just tested it and I am seeing four of those dflt mat cubes above the doorways. You should check into that.

The cubes are because all of his statue meshes were accidentally given the same name after a failed 3do export, giving the 3do's face-count-per-mesh much more than JK will allow. I told him this the day before the deadline, but he didn't bother fixing it..... along with the visible DFLT surfaces and the passable windows.... he just said "Bah", if I recall correctly.

This map would have been 100% MORE awesome than it all ready is if he had fixed that. *sigh* Stubborn egotists.... :rolleyes:

for the sake of curiousity, how many adjoins are in that last shot?

Personally, I would have made those arches a 3do instead of archi b/c it would be easier to replicate and it would not require people to tweak their Jk to keep it from homming.

also, I would consider making a ledge/walkway around the outside perimeter in that big open area where people could run around and have it connected to the middle part by bridges.

Currently, actually, I don't think it looks that good. Forgive me for a second while I play the Devil's Advocate:

First of all, I appreciate that this isn't finished, but judging by what you have so far, those arches look extremely pointless. You can't get up to the top levels, and they offer no architectural support to the central tower. In fact, by themselves, they look rather thin and flimsy.

Also, the textures are not very good. Far too monotonous for such (on a whole) pretty archi. The arches are alright, but the pillars aren't too great. The texture is really dull, and they could do with being rounded instead of square.

Finally, the skybox is very pixelated, ask Emon about how he got 1024x1024 textured skyboxes into JK. ;)

Im going to have to dis agree with Daft. I think it looks great. But I much would rather see the textures you used when you first showcased the level.

That is VERY VERY VERY nice.... yeat I really dislike the textures.. they look very plain for the awesome architecture

actually, no.. I don't think the problem is the textures... I think it's the fact that there is no lighting on this 3do here

Try a few (6 or so) very dim dynamic lights placed fairly close to the 3do.. that should clear up the default lighting on it..
