I've just completed my level for the Hub's contest. It is a small symmetrical deathmatch level set in an abandoned guard bunker near to an ancient Jedi temple. The project can be found at http://www.jkhub.net/project/show.php?projid=134 where you can download it and also find additional screen shots.

If curiosity killed the cat then perhaps Curious George killed the cat.
But Cat's do have nine lives so who knows?

How sad that no one has commented on this by now. :(

Well, I haven't played the latest incarnation of this level, but the previous version (which I Beta-tested) was definately starting to get pretty good. I still think it would have been better if the corridors had been connected though, since otherwise gameplay will suffer as a result of dead ends.

Some of the texturing also looks a bit repetitive, but the lighting is quite nice! :D

That looks really cool, reminds me of the early Ultima Underworld series.

The textures are poop.
Think while it's still legal.

Specifically, I think the textures on the columns needs to change. The rest of it looks pretty good.

And it has some real atmosphere to it.

Yeah, the texturing needs work. The architexture is real good though. Just spend a little more time tweaking texture choice and alignment and all that.

I drew all the textures by hand in photoshop. This is the first project I've made all my textures for so cut me some slack. As for the pillar textures, what would you suggest instead?

to Daft: Thanks a lot for bumping my thread! :) I connected the basment rooms with corridors way back right after you tested one of the first versions of senarius. Unfortunatly flow isn't as good as I hoped because the corridors are a bit too skinny to walk through comfortably. Adding the corridors still helped my level a lot. Thanks for the idea

I'm just abit confused. Is the texturing or the image quality the problem?

Anyway, looks fun to explore!

It tiles very poorly because of the repetitive dark blob

I see... I'll take a look into it. Is there anything wrong with the style I used for the pillar textures? I will probably end up redoing that texture.

I love the lighting. Great atmosphere.
