I've just released a little demo of my Freelancer-esque flight level. Head on over to the hub and grab it while it's hot!

It's alright, the rolling could be a lot smoother, and the throttle could also. I like how the S-Foils open when you take off though, it'd probobly be easier to test in a much more open area.

By smoother do you mean start slowly and speed up, or just not choppy? As far as I know, it shouldn't be choppy.

Not choppy, but easier to control, it should start MUCH slower and as you press forward speed up, and then vise versa for slowing down. And as for rolling, it should happen much quicker, you're flying an x-wing FIGHTER not a starcruiser.

Just tested it.

Like Dark__Knight said, rolling needs to be faster and would have been better with a bigger level as the cruise speed is a bit too fast to see how well controls are. Other then that, nice stuff.

Ok, I uploaded a new level addressing the size and roll speed (I also doubled the regular flight speed, it just seemed to slow for a fighter)

Unfortunately, it's not too easy. A lot of code has to be rewritten, but in the end, it will make other things simpler.
With that said, it's gonna be a lot of fun to do ;)

You're gonna need to change some code to get the weapons to look right, but other than that it's just a change of model.

If you're interested in this at all, please say something! It's kinda disheartening for an artist, when few people notice his work.

We are very much interested, but its harder to comment upon good cog work unless you show people who understand the language the entire cog.

otherwise, its only the eye candy most massassians gawk over.

My advice... stick a nekkid lady pic in there some where :p
