Yet another quickie of mine... and no the sword isn't transparent, its just reflecting the background.

Assuming you actually made this, it's quite good. The hilt doesn't seem right though. Not only does it fail to match the style of the rest of the sword, but it simply seems too narrow to wrap your fingers around. The guard also looks a bit odd, perhaps you should put some more polies in there. The blade seems quite nice to me, though I'm no expert on swords.

Needs a pummel and a better guard.

I think he means it's too skinny. Unless that sword is just really big, the hilt needs to have a larger diameter. Looks nice though.

In the case that you meant pommel--not all swords have them. The crossguard needs to be less two-dimensional, needs to be shorter and wider. The hilt is actually fine, from what I can tell (most usually are ridiculously skinny).

A sword without pommel is useless, as it will slip through your hands in the midst of battle, due to sweat and blood.
