Since I've been working on this model for quite a while, I feel obligated to show someone :P It had a ton of little parts to UV map.

erm, looks really ugly right now. I wouldn't have showcased it yet, nothing much to suggest.

Once it's fully textured I hope it looks better. Right now the greens kinda stand out ;)

Awesome...so far.

Textures are nice, but the model is well...flat......I know its a boxier gun, but it just seems to be missing something, I dunno.....Oh, but could you show me the 2d texture maps that you used please?

I like it...

I think it looks worse partially textured than not textured at all. Not taking sides here, just my opinion.

Looks good! The green makes it look sorta interesting, like it uses plasma as ammo or something. O_o
DO NOT WANT.

Yeesh, didn't think people would care about the untextured accessories. Anyway, got it done for the most part. The single version will have the stock and scope, and they are removed/ collapsed for dual guns :D

Wow, that's very nice. I love the clean, crisp metal look of your models. Still, I'd rather you be making more JKR player models... :(

I think a lot of detail is lost to the cartoony look. It looks far better, though.

Other artwork is preceding my JK stuff at the moment, but you can download the current build of the model update at http://jkhub.massassi.net/project/show.php?projid=28

Anyhoo.. cartoony?

Cartoony in that it all looks too perfect. You've got the basis of a great skin, now all you have to do is burn the edges a little and throw some scratches on. This will give all of the solid lines you used some depth, and basically add some realism. The only suggestion I've got on the mesh is that you take the boxiness out of the grip. What program do you model and skin in?

Very cool skin. The lens is godawful though. :p

Looks sweet.. for some reason the handles look a little funny to me, but you dont see those much when someone is holding them.

see thats what I dont do so well, I dont condence my vertex map so much.

if i had modelled that gun, i would have used about 3 different texture images but look the same in the end *shrug*

The details are painted on, and with very strong lines without shadows. Makes it look very cartoony.

I think it looks terrific. Realism gets boring anyway.

Not much to love here, since the gun consists mainly of polymer: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg49-e.htm

Oh nothing to worry about then, the real gun looks pretty "cartoony" to begin with. ^_^

It's the MP7, most notably the submachine gun from Half-Life 2.

I've got it in-game! You probably can't tell from this pic, but I made some model improvements as well.

I didn't recognize this as a HL2 gun, but I guess it is in there. Mine looks quite a bit different though.

What game is that, and my, that gun looks sexy. Fills a bit too much of the screen though...
I had a blog. It sucked.

I cropped the image a bit.

That game is.. My game :D Hence the text ammo counter. It's along far enough that I can begin making the models, so thats what I'm doing.

It needs a hand to hold the front grip. Looks good, though.
