This is for the Life of Grismath project for MotS. This forum hasn't had too many new threads lately, so I thought I'd drop by with an update.
I've now added functionality for Grismath to pick a fight with pretty much anybody he wants.
Unfortunately for him, they often carry knives or break bottles, etc.
And if he acts too brashly, he can end up shankity shank shanked.
Swoosh... splat. (eww those pylons need retexturing)
There is, of course, loot to be had if he beats people around him into submission. I've also made it so that you can steal paintings off the walls for cash (hopefully you don't get caught), you recover sanity for looking at soothing art, and you get fat if you eat too much food to restore your health.
I coded an entire bar room brawl scene that's completely off any storyline in order to non-linearize the game. How to start it? Just tap one of the drunakrds on the shoulder the wrong way and it becomes a caged free for all, where people start breaking bottles and picking up stools.
LoG release date: Whenever I can balance adding tons of detail and actually getting major things accomplished.
