I wasn't going to post this till it was finished but.. oh well.

I'm making this for a game. The exterior modeling is near complete (1590 polies) I'll do a very basic interior. Tring to stay under 2500 polies.

Why are you trying to stay under 2500 polies? That's really not that many...for instance, most of Painkiller's models were about 10,000, I believe, for enemies. When you think about how many of those Painkiller fit on the screen...I'd say you're safe with more than 2500 :p
Why are you trying to stay under 2500 polies?
There is no need for my car to have 10,000 polies. You wont see all those details. That's what textures are for. This car is going into the LS3D engine, which I believe is the same engine GTA runs on. So you have, my car on screen, there could atleast be 20+ more cars, plus a huge environment. I wont start over if it ends up a 4k. But idealy, I'm tring to stay low.

More importantly, seats, a steering wheel and a dashboard, or you won't be going anywhere.

But still, snazzy chassis. =D I'd nearly double dare you to make a Fiat Multipla.

53 minutes, I bet ray-traced shadows. What program did you use to render that, cause I'm thinkin you need a new render program. I like it.

No they are not ray traced shadows. I'm using Brazil shadows and brazil renderer. Brazil is the best renderer for 3dsmax. The skylight took most of the rendering time.

Thanks guys for the comments :D

You mean the best renderer to make quick, nice looking renders? ;)

I really like it. Though if I weren't going to use it for something where a low polygon count was necessary, I would round out the hard edges some more.

Well I mean I can still turn it into a high poly model. I have thought about it and I may try. I will still however continue to finish the current model.

It could use a few extra polys around the window frames.

Spare a few hundred polys. It will look ten times better. The model is nice and detailed, but those window frames are killing it.

Just a suggestion, dude.

Nice model, though. Maybe a little more detail in the wheels as well.

As for the render. Try radiosity lighting and less AA. It'll look really pretty, but, hey, that's not really important.

Very very purdy, but how's anyone suppose to use those side view mirrors, they look so tiny...or is that how the car's suppose to be. *shrugs* I like, and I wish I could model like that. How many hours have you put into this thing so far, just to make me feel worse. :p

BTW, on a side note, lol at Koobie's sig + <3 it

yeah the mirrors are supposed to be tiny and wide like that, they are probably supposed to be more aerodynamic.
