Since the editor's corner here is only letting me upload pictures under 100KB, I'm just gonna post some screens here. :)

NOTE: The player models are from the JKR demo.

Asylum of Mortality:
This is the level I made for the JKHub Level Pack (HLP). It's gameplay is based around the ability to destroy the architecture and make it crash down onto your enemies. ALOT of work was done on the standard JK physics to make things break/fall realisticly. Screenshots do not do the physics justice, but here are few...

Ultimate RPG (URPG):
This project is an online RPG that uses the bin loader/saver. It is a RPG/FPS hybrid, meaning you can walk away from any conversation at any time. You always have control of the player. The first shots are from the hover boards, which will be fully upgradible along with the player's Hover Board skills in URPG. Right now I'm using TheSting's snowboard model and ride key, but the snowboard will soon be replaced with a hoverboard model.

This one shows the ability to remote pilot your droids (if they have the correct hardware installed in URPG). Both internal and external RC pilot views are availible, sidestep cycles through "installed" protocols on the droid, duck executes the protocol. Works great in MP battle droid mathes. :)

This one is of the speaking/AI interaction system. Simply look at the answer you want and press activate. You can be up to .8 JKU's away from the AI, you do not have to be standing RIGHT infront of them to talk.

Desert Temple CTF:
A conc-based semetrical CTF level. Interiors are all archi, while exterior is all 3do's (thanks to some invalid reverse adjoins making the transition seamless). The shots from outside are of early development, so bare with all the dflt.mat.

Desert Temple CTF looks amazing, as does your JKhub submission. I can't wait to play these. I've always been a big fan of your levels, mostly including SM Headquarters. :)

Those first screenshots are amazing, and the JKR models look great in your levels. The last shot needs some work, though.

Wow, I had no idea you were capable of some of this stuff. Very, very impressive, especially the Desert Temple level. I just love how that level is designed, it seems really original and creative, not to mention looks awesome fun to both play in and look at.

Echoman, you need the thing limit remover patch to use his contest entry level.
2006-01-14, 9:56 PM #20
Yes Echoman, Orbit is correct, you need the Thing Limit remover patch installed to your JK.exe.

You can find information about the patch here:
http://jkhub.net/download/index.php?dlid=53

Basically, it allows you to run levels with more than 640 3do's and NOT crash. Also removes the adjoin limit, so you can have as many adjoins as you want and not see HOM cuz of it.

erm, 640 things doesnt make a crash.

My mod somtimes creates upto a thousand 3do's in a fire fight, and it only slows down partially, it has never crashed for limit reasons.
:confused:
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){

Actually, if they are made ingame, the engine will simply refuse to make any more once it has reached 640. If they are made pregame, in JED itself, then it will crash. SM's level has the 3dos made in JED, thus crash.

Jack: "Why not!"
2006-01-15, 6:14 PM #23
Yeah. Interestingly enough, my level only has 513 3do's placed in JED, but you also have to set aside 3do's for projectiles and explosions and things (so people can have those big fire fights you were talking about Ruthven), and with these, the thing count in the JKL gets bumped to 714, putting it over the limit.

I could have manually lowered the count in the jKL to 640, but then the 3do's not getting created would occur often (because aside from the 3do's placed in JED, my cogs also create alot of 3do's).

I still can't get it working. I patched my JK.exe with the patches, but the level still crashes for me.

Can anyone PM with a patched .exe that works with the level so I can see if I am or I am not the problem?
