Meh, old, old joke, but good new twist on it. Perhaps it might change a bit, though, what with Macs now starting to use x86-based chips and all.

Alas, this is how Linux users manage to get the most of the best of both worlds... they just can't play all the same games as WindowsXP, but really, they do get Unreal Tournament 2004 compatable, (with the very same discs for Windows, no less) and that would be enough in my book.

People who manage to make a pc crash more than a handful times a year shouldn't be allowed to put their hands on it in the first place. They obviously don't know what the hell they are doing.

Funnily I had my first experience with a mac a couple months ago. And amazingly I had it lock up on me within 2 minutes. Now I must add that I was trying to load up hotmail in Safari, so who exactly it to blame remains to be seen.

My windows xp hasnt crashed in a solid year, and I have never willfully shut it down. Power outages and other such have restarted it, but I leave it on most of the time.

Your guys windows suck if they crash every hour or even once a day.

I think you'd not notice it if it did crash--most XP installations have the "BSoD" turned off and instead just auto-reboot.

My Windows never crashes. My radeon, however, has a tendancy to die a sudden horrible death, which is rather annoying because the machine is still on - I just don't get a monitor signal. In general, windows does not crash, period. When people think 'windows' crashed, it is almost always a device driver, which wasn't written by microsoft at all. Macs don't have that problem because their hardware isn't usually upgradable, so Apple can write and test all their own device drivers.

If you know how to use Windows it doesn't crash and it is secure. For beginners a mac or a Linux is much better.

Strange that almost no beginners use linux, but almost all pros do, eh? There is only one reason why windows still deserves to live: DirectX. Every other thing is done better in another OS.

And yeah, the comic quite sums up why I never bothered to touch a Mac :).

I thinkt that's because beginners don't care. They buy themself a PC with Windows installed. I installed some beginners Linux, and they are very happy with it.

Yeah DirectX is nice:) Since I don't play anymore anything but "Tali" I don't really care

Sounds like the video card isn't getting the right amount of power. This happened to my card, the video card would stop respoding to the driver and would freeze. It was due to a low power AGP slot. Stupid ECS crap motherboards.

They have a sort of wine for Macs, I believe it's called Darwine.
