They do look rather wonderful even if they do all look the same.

Have you considered putting a randomly generated 'stain' along with all sorts of fancy special effects involving dual core processors?

yeah, as of now, every 3do on the bottom is exactly the same, but when I get the "stairs" down there, there will be many different 3dos.. so I can just texture them differently

I see you haven't fixed the 3do rotation problem yet. I had the same problem when making The Wound.... the stair 3dos wouldn't line up at first.... but when I cleaved up the big sector they were in into quadrants AND divided up the stairs into separate 3dos, they lined up just fine. I'm not exactly sure why, but JK likes to rotate 3do's slightly if they are too big and/or they are contained in a very large sector.

That said, I still say you should take this suggestion, because it should fix most of your problems....

It almost looks like deck plating on a ship.

looking even more awesome. though the top-most texture tiles.. not as well as the others. make it a longer texture with more variation (or, well.. sometimes less works too).

It looks very impressive. One thing, though: the rounded pillars shouldn't be textured with bricks. Look at some real rounded "detail" pillars...
But yeah, it looks great even that way.

Yeah, I was thinking bout changing that also.. the pillars in the pics of the colosseum are smooth, but in some of the pics that shows how they were built, it shows bricks.. I guess that's what I was thinking.. i dunno, it will more then likely be changed though :)

If you hang some 3do flags from the ceiling, that might help with the repetition of textures. Taking people's eyes away from it and breaking the repitition up.
