Basically, my choir has a website that looks horrific.

Since I am the Vice President of our choir, I decided to go ahead and remake the 3 year old website that hasn't been touched since then. As you can see, it was in need of dire help.

I completely changed the format of the site and everything, this is about an hour's work, let me know what you think.
Clicky for my version

**Note, we are called the Howling Wolves Choir, that isn't my fault. :p

Ditch the 3d logo text. it looks so weird.

I suggest Colourlovers.com for a better color pallate.

The side menu done in flash looks nice, but its too small in comparison to the size of the "frame' its in.

Also another thing i suggest to pretty much everyone: Try not to use tables for positioning, it screws things up royally most of the time. Learn to use CSS, its much more handy.

DO NOT USE PHOTOSHOP BEVEL

EVER

Sorry, had to get that out of the way. Photoshop bevel is one of the most hideous and instantly recognizable things the program has to offer, which is pretty sad. The glow is pretty awful too--if you're going to use it, at least change it from the default settings. Looks like you didn't even bother to change the color. That said, it's a lot better but it still has jagged edges, blurry graphics, and the buttons are too small. I'd also give it a brighter and more imposing color scheme. Right now it sorta gives the "old jedi knight website with no content" impression. :p The flashy effect on the buttons is neat.

Well...it should be something like "singing wolves", not "howling". Nobody is gonna want to go hear bunch of wolves howling. :p

And yes, I would go with a brighter, happier color pallet if I were you. Make those table buttons bigger, and by all means get rid of the nasty 3D text. It may look like heaven to newbz, but to experienced photoshop users it is obvious that little work went into making that text.

Hahah... the original page is called "Untitled Document"

That's priceless.

Em. There's still alot of room for improvement. Heh. Browse the internet, check out some of the professional sites you like, see how they're made, maybe implement some of their ideas into your own design.

Because, TBH, it really isn't all that great ATM.

I, infact, find howling wolves quit soothing.

Does this choir have a habit of singing wolf intervals?
I'm just a little boy.
