while not entirely bad, definately some sloppy lighting and/or printing.

move your subjects farther from the background, and make sure their props are clean. that hat just looks disgusting.

also it looks like you're using a 400 speed film. studio portraits generally look better using ISO 100 or slower.

i would suggest printing the first one a bit darker. not much just enough that the highlights on your subjects' faces arent so blown out.

on the second, i suggest a burn on the face, tie, left shoulder and right forearm. those areas all look very flat.

overall, doesnt look too bad, considering its probably your first studio experiance. just osme minor problems.

blame my scanner for most of that. on the prints the taller guy's face doesnt blend right in with the background at all. and the second one is overall darker, but the lighter areas were made even more light cause of my scanner. it does this with evetything. drawings and sketches are barely visible half the time. i tried editing them in photoshop until they started looking too manipulated, but yeah.

otherwise, you're correct that it was our first time in the studio. which is really just a 14'x14' area to the side of the classroom. heh.

I especially like number 3 out the lot of them.

Does anyone else get a Jack White vibe off it?
nope.

I can't figure out what's going on in the third one. Depth of field can really enhance a picture, but in this case, I can't figure out if he's giving me the finger-gun pose or a thumbs up, or just pointing or what.

This could even be okay in some circumstances, but with the glare, and so many of the lines pointing towards it, it becomes the focal point of the picture.

Not bad, I've never done any studio photography. Like Ford said, just some minor things to think about.

I have to agree with happydud. Until Cazor mentioned it, I had no idea what on earth that thing was.
