Wow, thanks for the comments guys. I agree, the fight scene needed a bit of work. However, that was actually the second time we did it. The first was truly awful, with nothing choreographed and a lot of pointless jumps. The second was MUCH better, but there were still instances where the punches were a bit out of sync with the kickback. We were under a time crunch, and only one of the two guys (the guy in the trenchcoat) had any fighting experience.
I was hesitant to do this movie. The two leads are my best friends, and they convinced me, but I was worried because I didn't think an action/suspense movie would be possible with no budget and such primitive special effects/etc. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but obviously, things could have been better.
Since I am relatively new to the editing scene, and have little knowledge in image maniupulation or digital effects, a gunshot would be very hard for me. I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble to learn it, because I doubt it would be easy. I'm also not exactly sure how I'd incoroprate it into the footage, since you don't actually see the gun when it's shot. Any ideas?
