A different kind of showcase... Multiple workspaces on windows

Over the last couple of days i've been working on a program which gives you workspaces (virtual desktops, multiple desktops, whatever you want to call them) on windows.

Download

Current features:
-10 workspaces
-[Windows key] + num e.g. Win+4 to switch workspaces.
-Option to add workspace selectors to the taskbar*
-Fairly low memory usage. Generally under 3.5mb (depending how many windows you have open.)
* This is done using shortcuts for customisablility. You can put them wherever you want, name them whatever you want, give them custom icons. You have to create the toolbar yourself unless I can find out how to do this programatically.

Planned features:
-Exclude list based on executable name or window title. (Any excluded windows will always be open, on every workspace.)
-Custom number of workspaces. (So you're not forced to use 10. I chose 10 to link up with the windows+num keys.) This will also help lower momory usage.

Comments? Suggestions? Bug reports?

Pretty nifty. A few things I've noticed, though. When you right-click and select a different desktop, desktop 1 remains checked. Also, when using Win+[Number], the text (the numbers) are still output. For instance, I switched from 1 to 2 back to 1 with my mIRC window being open on 1. The text input showed 21. Other than those couple of things, it's good!

Oh, and a feature that would be nice would be the ability to switch windows between work spaces.

Yeah, I never got around to doing the checks on the menu items. Though I can fix that quite easily.

Good point about the win+num keys. I dont know if i can fix that, unfortunatly. I'll have to make it ctrl+num or alt+num I think.

Good Idea, I might Workspace[Num] menu entries have submenus which contain a list of windows in that workspace, then clicking the window title would bring it to the active workspace.

Or I could have alt+num move the active window to workspace num.

Wait... so you don't know how to use alt+tab, and had to invent a whole new mechanism to do that exact same thing?
Wikissassi sucks.

No, this allows you to have virtual desktops.

I assume you're registering your Win+[numbers] as global hotkeys using the Win32 API? If not, that would probably fix your printing-number problem.

thats a pretty nifty tool, could come in handy when I'm workin on websites and I switch between multiple word files and clutters my task bar with icons, I could like... surf in one desktop and have my work in another.

Two monitors FTW! :D

Neat though. Far surpasses ATI's crud imho, and has the potential to be awesomel337galore. ;)
