After exactly 4 years of editing JK, I realize how very little I've actually released. So I figured I'd search through all my old files and try and come up with everything I've ever gotten fairly close to completion on, and ask you what I should finish. Life is getting more and more busy for me now, as I'm approaching my senior year in highschool, so I really want to get as much of my unfinished stuff out there as possible. Thus, I need a big vote of confidence from Massassi (or a kick up the ***, depending on how you look at it)!

First of all, my released stuff (in order of appearance):

Quote:
2.) Aliens Teaser Trailer (2004) - http://www.massassi.net/levels/files/3031.shtml
(no pics, because it was pointless; however, one of my later levels was meant to be the actual level this was a teaser for!)

5.) Plexus (2006) - Part of the Hub Level Pack found at http://www.jkhub.net/project/show.php?projid=188§ion=download

Now for my unreleased stuff:

2.) Proelium (2003) - CTF (my released proelium was a remake of this level with the same name. It was also my first SotD.)

There is also another small level I'm working on at the moment, which is quite basic, called Comatose. I'll post screenies of that in awhile hopefully.

If you could tell me in order from top priority to low priority, which levels you'd like me to finish, I'll see what I can do. :)

Excellent work. And such volume, man! You remind me a bit of myself, in that I too have numerous projects that I've not finished. (Got to show you all that Millenium Falcon for Duke Nukem someday.) But the sheer volume of polished work has me feeling like a poser.

To comment on things as a whole, you definitely have a good eye for space, line, shape, colour, and lighting. It's not the kind of work that makes me say "Wow, I've never seen anything like that before!", but it definitely shows a very consistant yet varied style. And that says talent. The progression between the maps is

If I could comment on things individually, Aqua and Basilica are beautiful pieces- and quite unique as well. Somnolence, Delphi, and Saturation point remind me of Dark Forces, which is always a good thing. I'll look forward to seeing your work in the future.

Party on, Daft.

 Aqua is probably the worst looking among Daft's levels. The textures totally don't go with each other at all, both in ammount of detail, style, colour and contrast. It would need a complete texture do-over if you ask me.

I agree. I hate conflicting textures.

Here's what you do: Finish Somnolence, which should take you just an hour max. Come to #jkhub if you're hung up on something. Then, finish Office Space, which should only take you the rest of the day. All you need now are some focus is spots that hinder flow (like removing dead-ends, one way elevator shafts, and annoying obsticles). Then finish Saturation... which I can't imagine taking long, since it was done last time I saw it. Then Delphi. And then? Make Jedi Tower.

And on the subject of En Route, I still say your a dirty idea stealer!!!

Ok, I'll admit that the textures conflict. But I've always had a soft spot for these empire textures, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v52/RossD/JediKnightEditing/aqua_5.jpg

And though not all of the textures match, or are alligned well, this shot also catches my eye. It just looks cool to me http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v52/RossD/JediKnightEditing/aqua_1.jpg

Yeah. Aqua would win hardcore if the whole thing were textured in that sort of theme.

Btw, thanks for all the comments everyone.

Oh, and as for Aqua having texture conflicts, there's a reason for that I didn't explain. Aqua is meant to be a Gungan Temple (which is the center of the CTF map, connecting the two bases). Imperials have since taken over Naboo and infiltrated Otah Gunga or however you say it. They have added additional underwater segments to the base.

So to clarify, there is meant to be a stark contrast in texturing, since they are two different cultures from two different eras built upon each other.

naa... I was refering to the idea of using MaDa's Subway textures in the exact same "not what they were intended for" way (and I should note that the only reason I did was because that shade of green happened to be his favorite color, and I wanted to plaster it everywhere!) But you know I don't mind. You're one of the few I'd let steal my ideas... especially when it's a map for Adam.

I can't believe all this fantastic work is just laying around on your HD!! (minus 1 or two?)

Hell, upload 'em as is on the Hub! Hand them off to another editor maybe? Don't let them hit the recycle bin, pleeeeeeaaaaaase!!! :(

And if you're having problems, as was mentioned above, hop on over to #jkhub, or start a project page for them and ask for help there.
