I've always wondered, if it rotates, where does Kyle put his hand?

Probably the little bit that comes before the rotating portion.

halucid, what program is it that youre using in the first shot?
[01:52] <~Nikumubeki> Because it's MBEGGAR BEGS LIKE A BEGONI.

I'm probably wrong, but it isn't Zy's 3do viewer by any chance is it?

Anyway, I had to say hal, that all of these unreleased gems are astounding and I now realize how much you and I have in common ... in making stuff that never get's released, that is! :D

I would encourage you, as you encouraged me however, to try and get at least one of these released soon, so that people can see just what marvelous work you have made and are capable of making in the future. This is JK editing excellence to the max; be proud man! ;)

He holds the whole thing with one hand, because Kyle is a total badass, foo'! :p

The wireframe is ZeqMacaw's ZED (which is what I used to design and texture the entire model), and the preview is JOKE (which I used for scaling and node positioning).

I was originally gunna add a 2nd handle that could be held underhanded just below the rotating chamber... but I figured the original design had it's 2nd handle below the rail itself, so I kept that design. I'm sure if gun was held to the side (like a guitar) you wouldn't have to worry about your forearm touching the chamber.... however, Zell's right.... Kyle held all of his weapons with one hand.... making him the 2nd most badass Jedi ever.

Daft- Don't worry, I'll eventually finish them all... :) As far as being proud, I try not to be. Too much pride replaces creativity and greatness with conceit. I've seen too many editors here fail to meet the caliber of greatness they are capible of simply because they're too proud to see it. There are many modellers and mappers here that are far more skilled than I... and I'm proud of them, not myself. One day, I may be as great them. :)

That was a wise response, I'm sure I could learn a thing or two from it.

But I did also want to mention my thoughts on the levels you showed me. Several I've never seen before. The first one is curvy awesomeness, and kind of reminds me of Mobius Grith, only a more technological theme. Did you borrow some of the archi from one to the other or vice versa? It doesn't look too far completed, but I would love to see it so. Something I think would be really cool is lights going down the "groove" in the ceiling, you know, like landing lights on an airstrip, perhaps have a corona flicker on and off and move down the track. That would make it look really nice.

"The Wound" is still as awesome as ever, both from an action and artistic perspective (I assume it is called "the wound" because of that single hole in the middle, through which light pours through, perhaps representative of being inside a body?). I can imagine it working really well with both guns and sabers. I also don't know why, but I think it would be really awesome with mynocks flying around in there. :p

"Acid" has got some beautiful architectural features I assume must be 3do due to the amount of detail. I think Mada would be greatly pleased. Tell me how close you are to finishing, and maybe I can try and get En Route finished up and we can release them along with kirb's and kyle's levels.

"Breach" seems to have some impeccable texturing with one of my favorite texture sets, and with some added lighting and 3do effectrs could be dazzling. I'd love to see some more shots of the level.

And since I've plaed "Graveyard Shift," and seen the whole thing, I have to say it is my least favorite of your levels. I'd much rather see the others completed first. It was , however, a good trial ground for some of your custom 3dos, and the new raildet proves you have ability in this area of editing as well!

P.S. I'm working on finishing up Somnolence right now, since I'm on spring break. I have a lot of other things to do as well,m but this is important to me, and it should be finished soon. I'm just adding some JKA cogs and stuff.

This makes me get ideas of mixing models in Shreds JKE. I never liked the rail det in the beta, but this design is great! Could just need some more polies and sharper texture :P!
Nope, I'm not french.

Daft- Thanks for the in depth critiques. Some of that was quite helpful.... however, I feel like I have some explaining to do all of a sudden:

Rubicon (that first shot) was to be my Hub CTF contest entry... but I'm lagging on it, so it may wind up being my entry for the 2007 HCP. ;) It's all new archi, but I'm using a similar design technique as I did in Mobius Grith. this one will be more open gun-friendly than Mobius. (I still wish Mobius could have been the sabers-only map I had wanted it to be :()

The Wound is actually from Adam's Poem of the same name. The poem itself is actually enscribed on the walls throughout the construct. This map is actually near completion on the inside, but I also want to make an outside area to it. From the outside, the building will appear as if it were never finished, with several structuarally important elements missing, and a beam of light projecting to the center.... but from the inside, it will appear be 100% intact. All this will be done with overlapping sectors. And FYI, it will be a saber map.

ASF3 is currently 90% done.... but I'm planning on scraping most of it and redoing it. Partly because my skills have improved slightly since I staterd it, and partly because flow of the map wasn't what I was hoping for. Since this one's for MaDa, I want it to be the best it can be.

Breach is in a very early stage. It will be a non-symetrical rusty old ship with a gapping hull breach. Lotsa flickering lights, pipes and sealed-off areas.

Graveyard Shift is actually one of the ones I'm most excited about. You have to remember, the version you saw was only about 3 or 4 day worth of work... it looks much better now. I completely redid the lobby, and the offices are much larger now (to accomodate the maze of cubicles they will contain) I plan on adding about 30 or so more 3do's (coffee pots, water coolers, microwave, plastic plants), and make them all throwable... and I'm also gunna take your advice and retexture most of it... I have some nice Max Payne textures that would work well... plus, Emon's gunna write me an uber-elevator cog one day that will put all others to rest! With floor selection, MUZAK, sliding doors for each floor, and even indicators that tell you what level the elevator is positioned.

C'mon, Zell! Any Jedi who has a wallet that says "Bad Motherf***er" on it HAS to be the most badass Jedi ever!

Amazingly well done. I only wonder if the rail could be a little less lumpy looking. I realize it's got the handle on it, but there's lots of little edges too it that are overly complicating, and really don't add or subtract anything to it.

The rest of the maps, of course, are beautiful. Get them done.

I like how you're constantly updating and changing your mind on things. It shows maturity and it shows that you're willing to admit your imperfections. You keep progressing, which is disturbing considering where you restarted in this community with the original shots of The Wound. I'm proud of your humbleness.

No, no, no silly, you're overcomplicating it. I simply mean that it is ironic for anyone to be "proud" of someone else being "humble."
