Okay, some of you may know that I'm one of the artists featured on the Rhyme Torrents geeksta rap Creative Commons compilation project, which is really coming together—an article about it for Wired Magazine is currently in the works. Anyway, one aspect of the project is the CD art—the idea is that anyone can make and print out their own album artwork for the CD, and artwork created by the artists is featured on the main site. So these here are my cover designs.

I personally don't think the fonts combine very well at all.
I'm no fan of this graffiti style writing, but that put aside, the decayed look of the volume font doesn't fit with the smooth flashy vectorlike style of the name.

Either make the name as decayed or make the volume font more flashy.

Or place them over some parts of the other writing, so that the impression of a stamp mark is improved.

Its called contrast. I think those font fit quite nicely together.

I really love the first Red and white one, it the colors as well as the "contrast"y fonts create a nice effect. I also like the green one, a little bright, but eye catching as hell.

Oooh sweet! So this is what the whole newfangled nerdcore thing was about.

Great work on the designs--'cept one little problem I have is that the gradient in teh last two is noticable.
