And yet... here is a sneak peek of the trooper I announced I would be making:

Here is an early resemblance of what I have in mind and what my abilities allow me to create:

Different angle:

Yet another angle:

I also made a slight change to him, and I here they are. Viewer discretion adivised.

Comments? Suggestions? Note: This is like my 4th character that I've ever made, and the only one I like so far.

Well, the helmet is just pretty damn ugly. But the rest of it I can dig.

Oh the Helmet has tons of work to go through first.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Dude, nice. It's not that great, but the improvement you have made is very encouraging, keep it up! Try and add a bit more depth (for the sake of constructive criticism).

I like everything below the neck. I'd lop the head off and start anew.

What are you making these in?

-Not bad. The helmet is clearly the most in-progress part so far.

A good start. It'll take a little while to really get into the swing of modelling but I'm happy that you're doing your own thing.

Why would you make a helmet...for a helmet?

(assuming that the pic of the goggles/mouthpiece thing is not his actual head)

I like it. Except for the head and the two v-shaped chest pieces seem to be at an odd angle. And are you using some sort of reference for the anatomy? Because if you don't use one it may come out looking really weird like with tiny hands or huge feet. You know what I mean?

EDIT: And the head looks really huge at the mo'.

Not bad at all, but the butt could probably use a little more definition in those scale-things. What program?

Program:Blender.
My part: Everything you see 100% made by me.
Head/helmet issue: This is the 3rd time I've restarted it.
Reference: No concept art or anything is used as reference, just what I imagine with my mind while I'm building it. Also, this is not a mod... so you can't call it modding.

EDIT: Hate to be a cry baby, but I really wish there was more people on our team.
Nothing to see here, move along.

1. Use references if you plan on using this. That's a BAD idea to do it from memory.

and

2. So recruit some people, dude!
I had a blog. It sucked.

I Completely disagree. Especially with original designs.

I'm sorry, I've never modeled, but I thought that since he'd planned in using this in a movie he'd want to use a reference to make it look authentic. My mistake, I'll be quiet now.

Not a referance for the armor, but I think an anatomy reference could help a lot.
