It's very true (probably even better) than the original renderings in the series. Good stuff.

Being the n00b at texturing that I am, I must ask how you lay out the UV's/textures for that, since I've stuck primarily to weapons, you can get away with the "infinity-streach" effect, however, this seems flawless and sweet. Care to let me in on your lil secret? :P ;)

Yeah, are you using UV wrap for something like this, or standard application?

Im Using Lightwave 9.0 beta and I do not know how to UV map Im just using "Cubic" the test are all details. down to every greeble and updates. Im trying to build a near 100% accurate model to the Actual Daedalus model built by Jose A perez

That looks absolutely beeautiful! My downfall is texturing - I can't pull that off. perhaps one day...

Im not UV mapping tho nor skinning Im using a process called Cubic. It works alot like Texturing did with GTK radient another small reason why I chose Lightwave it is interfaced alot like GTK radient was. And with LWs power I can make far more detailed stuff than I ever could with maps.

Its called flaming, else it comes off as quite derogatory, specially since this community is based on JED, and I'm quite sure you know that I know that JED doesn't do UV mapping. Not only that - its not even related to my question.


How many textures are you using than, could I see them perhaps..? By cubic, is that the process that maps it based upon a box that is around the model, cause 3DSMax has a texturing mapper that will map to a box.....

Oh, and is the only thing that was changed was darkening the part on top?
