sup, i started a new track thats more closely related to the real style of drum n bass, slicing the amen break and concentrating more on heavy bass and fast breaks. decoy helped put in mainly some of the basslines and some drum work as well.

still work in progress (started last night)

ive posted music here before and nobody has complained before, claiming that showcase forum isnt for music. thats kinda ridiculous to claim that it can be for just about anything EXCEPT music lol.


stuff i still need to do is build some kind of transition to the different bassline that decoy made (which uses a completely different instrument), and build the pace back up with more melody after the long solid note hit that lasts for a whole bar. not sure exactly how, but i want to go heavier on the hi hats for the next part ;)

It's considered bad form though, like not letting someone merge on the freeway. It's allowed technically, but it's not really fair to the people who post their stuff on the music forum and get no replies ;)

Anyway, is that BooBass and Sytrus I hear in there? :0

Pretty damn true. If I post a track on the music forum, and it gets 1 or 2 replies, I'm like "WOW! LOOKIT all the EXPOSURE I got this time!!" Then a wave of sadness consumes my soul. :gbk:

Sweet track Strike. I really dig the beginning riff... although it does sound familiar, somehow.

It lacks bass. And there is no carry-through melody, if you know, what I mean...

The showcase forum description is out of date, it's back from the time people used to showcase stuff for this old game called Jedi Knight. :psyduck:

The Music Discussion and Showcase forum is specifically for music. It is of a more precise scope than the Showcase forum, thus logically this thread should be there and not here. :v:
