Name the quote if ya can, :psyduck: tho I know this one has white eyes. However, I also wish to mention (however its not hard to see) that I've only detailed above the torso for the most part. So whatcha think so far?

I shall only comment on the torso since the rest is obviously far from done.

I only have 2 complaints.

1) the collarbone should be more present, unless you mean to accentuate this with a texture, but it seems you are going for high poly.
2) the armpit should go up way higher.

Other then that it's nice.

Seriously. And I'm pretty sure the inner thigh doesn't go straight down like that. It curves in a little.

Yea, I do need to change the sternum and yea, the collarbone, and the armpits actually are higher up, its just how it seems when the arms are positioned like that, least I think..... *shrugs*

Oh, and here's my references, they seem to match proportions (the arm length [which I haven't spent detailed time on] could be slightly different, up to an inch, but everyone is different too :v: ) with each other and DiVinci's perfect man.

I think you guys are totally missing the point. It's a homunculus. Not a human being. They look similar, but they don't share the same musculature, anatomy, blah blah blah.

The first reference seemed fine, but the second and third are taken at angles, and so aren't useful, and could be responsible for some of the problems with your model.

I have spent time only on reworking the chest, added the abs (tho I'm not happy w/ them at all, I think I need to round them off more??), worked down to the elbows and the knees, and started on the calves, the hands/ forearms look like crap, I've tried doin the hands but they just look like crap to me and I know I need to redo them. :mad:

Do you read what I type or can you just not see past your own ego? I never said I'd had done my proportions yet for below the elbow, all I said was I tried to model the hand. However, what you traced sure seems to follow my model that I've spent the time on pretty good. I've tried being nice to your critism but this is becoming just a blatent attack on me. I've never claimed to be able to model a human, and here you are, just insulting me and never offering what to change that I've said I've spent time working on. I don't want to see one more of your pointless waste of my time and anger and energy posts in ANY of my topics, you and your opinions are unwelcomed to me, no matter what they are. Its because of people like you that nobody wants to come and showcase anything anymore at these forums.

I think you don't need all that detail on the stomach... not only does it look a bit a off but you can just do that with texturing.

Better than I could do, though.

There is definite improvement on the thighs and bicepts in the last picture, So you're on the right track with the muscle definition. It's good practice to get the proportions correct first though, it'll save you from later problems.

Hands are always difficult, but usually everyone has a decent reference if front of them :v: It's true that you can flatten your hand out like that, but if you relax your hand, you'll see that the thumb (and half of your hand) falls down to the side naturally, creating a crease on the palm. That's usually a better position to model it in.

I actually thought he was banned for the redlines myself, but MB himself has assured me otherwise... whatever, I'm trying not to care.

I do wish that redlines were more accepted here. I understand that the overly sensitive types might think it's rude... but as I said in a recently deleted post, 3D editing is a visual art. Therefore, sometimes it takes a visual diagram to accurately convey helpful advice. Sometimes, verbal explainations just don't do the trick... and I, for one, would be grateful that someone took the time to make a redline diagram of their ideas.

and the blatant superior tone that he uses. However, I would like to apologize for derailing this thread slightly along with my own ego-complex/pride.

New alterations, I tried to give his cheekbones more definition, along w/ the collerbone (tho its not truely accentuated because there is a bigger definition there), I changed the proportions alil, I still don't really like whats below the elbows but I tailored it so (even if the perspective makes it abit hard to see), so that his hands only go aobut to mid thigh (I'm only posting 2 pics beacuse of how many already are here :ninja: ), I don't really care too much about the eyes, abs are still abit too sharp on the top one, and does his jawline seem masculine enough? Or instead of the more minor stuff go onto more important things such as feet (tho they'll prob always be covered by shoes most likely..... [which made me realize that I haven't said this guy is going to be used in prerendered cutscenese :o ])

DP, I know you don't wanna hear this, but Isuwen's redlines make a dozen valid points that you really should take into account.

Plus, unless he's gunna be shirtless in the cutscene, you're wasting your time with the chest detail.... and I, for one, would recommend the shirt.

Okay, another round of trying to attempt to improve this, I keep forgetting to do the collarbone. :o Oh, and btw, I do listen to people and I have looked at Isuwen's redline, I do listen to people, tho sometimes (tho not very much with this lol), I have an idea/image set that I'd like to achive, yet with this, when I do try to change it to better suit the perfect human form, it still looks wrong because its far from an exact science to me, me no organic modeller. :v:
