I think the bass 'Grrrrrrrrrrrr' is way too opressive. It takes over, when it should really be the one in the background. It also means I can't use it while playing a game, because it will over power the sound effects.

It's okay, despite the bass, but it somehow didn't sound as a 'riddle'. Then again, I might've been expecting something like Nightwish' The Riddler.

yeah.. about the name..



original name was 'rider' because i used a lot of rides in the drums

then my old clanmate decoy added a pattern or two and put on 'nightstalker' on the filename

i added a little more and renamed the song to 'ride of the nightstalker'

then i decided to scrap the patterns and redid everything except some of the drums and that overpowering bass, and renamed the song to 'riddle in the night'



so even though its a total BS name, its origins did come from something pertaining to the song

reminded me of castlevania 2 for gameboy

You need to work on your drum compression/EQing I think

I like the synths though, nicely sci-fi-ish.

I really like it. But yes, maybe try to make a version with the bass toned down?

hehe ur right. the only filters used in the whole thing right now is 1 flange and 1 reeverb, and some cut + resonance tricks.

I like the bass...and I think ride of the nightstalker would be a perfect name.
