This started as a re-imagining of Vader's mask. Doesn't quite fit, I don't think. But, when I was rendering it, I tried a different color scheme and, swear to god, that loud organ music started playing.
Probably because I hit play on the CD.
Anywhoo, I don't really like how the eyes and nose came out, especially where they meet. On a different note, though it doesn't fit the Andy Webber vision, it's more accurate to the original novel where Erik's facial deformities were so severe he needed to wear a full-face mask. He was also 60, but then, you know, there's always changes between a book and a movie based on it. Or, you know, 80 yeas of movies followed by 20 of musicals.
-[edit]In the final image, I used a simple hypernurbs object to smooth out the shape. Kinda looks weird that way, I think. Smoother, though.
