Well well, it's New Year's day, and here's something new to play with!



The Diamond Station is now available for download. Only few other models have undergone such radical changes in their design phase as this one - the very first version looked pretty similar to a Death Star....

Diamond Stations were built as massive defense stations in orbit over planet Bricera during the Family war between the Vaylon and Khisar Clan. With a diameter of almost 10 km this powerful battle station can stand well against a whole enemy fleet, while its barely countable laser turrets make it more than a match for any attacker.

Does it shoot that blue beam death star style?

No, that one is some blue-beam-anchor-ray-thingie that goes all the way down to Bricera Palace to which this station is 'connected'

Heh, well, 'technically' it would work.

Diamond stations carry a prototype weapon system called the omega array. In the short this technology uses special shielding on the guns installed to enable each gun emplacement to act as an energy collector. So, aiming the guns at each other in a certain arrangement one could initiate a 'chain reaction' that will finally create a beam that could go along as a light versin of the Death Star's superlaser.

It's grandiose, but kinda boring in terms of design.

How big [Kilometers please!] would the inside and its entrances be?

Going by the total diameter of 9.5 km, the inside should've got a diameter of 7-8 km, meaning the entrances are somewhat 1-1.5 k wide
