If you going to add points on the map that are areas of light, I think you can pull off the dark-lighting look of the level without it being a hassle. But if its going to be dark like that for 99% of the map, I think that's just going to be annoying.

But its a WIP so let's see where it goes!

yeah i definitely don't want this to be an all dark level, i used to make those all the time and it was more to cover up the hideous textures, but :v: not this time!

... more screens should be up soon...

Make the width of the columns in the last shot consistent, and it will be perfect.
