Its been 8 years since my first copy of Jedi Knight. After all that time I have finally got the meat and bones of a level that was not either horrid or trapped in a dead computer. So, here goes you.

In '99 you'd have gotten a few ooh's and aah's :) Nostalgic indeed.

All in all looks interesting, I suggest trying to diversify the textures a little. It's too monotonous. A little more detail in the architecture would help break up the monotony as well, especially those vast empty walls. As far as enemy placement goes, it doesn't look like those imperials put much thought into their defense strategy (referring to 4th pic). They're not really protecting anything, they're just standing around to get shot at. Not very realistic.

Actually, the stormtroppers in the 4th pic are set to roaming. I caught them at a bad time, about 10 of them are just below the camera

It looks like a lot of fun with some mods. KWP perhaps? Some flying mod. I like open spaces with guys but also traps. Since you are not going for eyecandy, focus on gameplay like that. You should make an MP with synched AI

I think its a good start. Yes, the architecture and texturing need much work but I think you can play around with that.

The second pic is confusing my eyes. Are those green lights just floating there?

If you're going for just gameplay and no real story, have a part where you have to stand on a platform with some cover on it, being fired at by turrets / stormies on the way to your destination with varying speeds / transfers for supplies.

Something goes wrong and you didn't bring any explosives, so you have to infiltrate the armory and grab some.

And maybe you have to steal something near the beginning and have to be in a disguise.

if I was to rip rooms out of MotS, stick them in my level, and change them a bunch, would that be considered bad?

well I had to cleave the **** out of it to get it to fit in the space I need it in. I figure, itll be perfect for fightings of dark jedis. It looks like crap now anyway, ill prolly just trash it
