So yeah, long story short, I built a flame tube (Ruben's Tube)

Yeah, it creates high and low pressure points where the nodes and antinodes are in the pipe.

Hehe, applied science is always fun. Maybe you can sell those for stage shows, if you can produce a bit longer flames ;).

Does it merely push oxygen into standing flames, making them momentarily burn brighter?

The sound waves create low and high pressure points which in turn is visible from the propane burning. It doesn't look like that for just a second, it actually stays like that as long as the speaker is making noise.

I will take some video hopefully on Monday and upload it when I get a chance. Technically I have a 3 second clip, but its not much.

I didn't really get any good videos or photos after the first day because it is degrading. We plan to build a metal one, but that will be later.
