Hmmm, first of all, use 16bit textures. Secondly, I'd skin for the JKEnhanced model pack, as those models are a bit less edgy. And thirdly, you might want to export the model to another format, so you can use a real 3d modelling program, which supports U/V maps. I don't know how good forceremap is for player models, you might give that a try, too.

I'm using matmaster, but it doesn't seem to support 16bit textures.
What should I use?

It reminds me of that Spawn skin that somebody made for JK eons ago for BFP2. First person to recall what that stands for gets a cookie. :eng101:

I don't know, I'm not that nostalgic for a player model with the people textures replaced by metal panels and rocks.

Well, you don't really need correct U/V stretching if you're skinning the original player model. It was made in such a way that U/V stretching isn't necessary.
