semi-self-portraiture is the name of the game

This is a work in progress, I'm currently fiddling around with where I'm going to take it. 'Tis but the beginning, if you will.

I like it a lot. It has a lot of movement and grace. I like the fact that it's very pencil sketch-y as well - I think you should take it further along those lines (instead of smoothing and refining).

Damnit saber, every time you post your drawings I'm amazed. Stop that.

Honestly, I looked it over, and I really can't see anything wrong other than the slight blockiness in parts (which I assume you were going for).

I like it right where it is. If it were me, I'd declare it finished.

looks really good actually! the proportions are good, the hand on the right arm is really good even though its kind of blocky. the fingers if they were finished look like they would be spot on, which is no small feat... heh, fingers are no small feet :suicide:

No offense, but it's obvious you're not an artist :p

You suck. You make me sad that I can't do anything close to what you do. :smith:

It's an awesome draw(r)ing

*sigh* You know, you need to stop taking everything I say as an offense. I really meant no offense.

When you're an artist you want everything as a finished product, at least that's how me and everyone else I know is. There's just something wholly satisfying about being able to look at something and have it be clean cut and just...perfect.

The problem with that is, after you add something, you may decide that it should not be removed.

Using that quote as an absolute is asinine. All it means is that cramming stuff into a piece may not make it better. E.g. anything ever made by SAJN_Master.

On a vaguely related note, I could never make myself read My Little Prince; mostly because of the author's name. Just sounds too terribly gay. No offense to anyone. Le Petit Prince par Jean-Baptiste Marie Roger de Saint-Exupéry. :suicide:

If the next post isn't about saberopus's drawing in the form of a comment or a criticism and is continued petty bickering that is seemingly senseless, it's a week ban.

The first thing I thought about was Take On Me meets Lucas from CAD. It looks really good, and I wish I could do it myself. :)
