His body is too human. I'd change the hands and chest a bit to make it look more reptilian.

Other than that, vewy intewesting.

oh god no not the return of the alien thing

(j/k, I've always liked alien things)

Well, it seems you're still a deft hand at reptilian anatomy. I just hope the textures do his sleek reptilian body justice

What I'm saying is it's too human - looks like a reptile head stuck on a human body. Redesigning the hands would go a long way in [...] making the design more interesting. imho.

[edit]how do you do strikeout?

To reiterate--I think that was the point.

Yes, that doesn't mean there's no room for improvement, and that certain things can't be reconsidered.

I'm going to put this nicely out of respect for thrawn--it's not necessarily improvement. It's just a difference in what you would've done and what he did. I'm sure if he wanted to make it like that, he would've.

But anyways, updates thrawnbot.

Right, that's why it's called an opinion. I found the designs of the robots in the new Transformers movie lacking, so if they were presented to me I would suggest changes which, in my opinion, would improve them. That doesn't mean that a) the designers would agree with me or that b) they would be required to implement them, but receiving feedback is still very useful if only for clarifying their original intentions.

Fardreamer, I'm going off a description in a novel, there's only so much artistic liberty I want to take with the design :P

The hands are actually double-thumbed, if that helps

Here's a picture of Jeff Goldblum, if that helps. :p

Yayaya you know I read the Conqueror's trilogy at your recommendation sir. 'Twas good, nice to see you still into dat.

I really like the line quality on the first drawing, it's nice and smooth... what original resolution are you working at? As far as the figure goes, it's pretty good, the stance in the legs is believable and suggests a definite motion, which is noice... the shoulders are a little rigid, but that could be your intent... drawing shoulders correctly is hard... I can't really do it. On the tail, because you've made that fold line... because you have it cross completely over to the other bounding line of the tail, it makes the tail look like it's flat, and folder over once at that point... the way you've done it COULD be accurate, but only if the tail sort of comes to a point on the bottom... like an inverse teardrop shape, I suppose. But if that's the case, then the way it's drawn implies that the 'point' of the teardrop toward the tip of the tail is pointing sideways at least, if not up.

The tail's flat, like a flatworm, so that it comes to points at the top and the bottom with the mass concentrated more toward the center

Thanks for the advice :D
