I've been working on this for a while now. I finally finished it last week for a contest I forgot to submit it to. Anyway. For future reference, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should focus on with digital coloring.

Anyway. It's a Dark Templar from Starcraft.

Kinda looks like a predator. Great work.

Probably the best work I've seen you do yet. Very very sexy.

Edit: There could be more twist in the waste. The feet also look a little 2D and impossible to hold his structure. Consider more environmental interaction with the toes etc.

Kirb's got a point. I also think his left leg looks a little messed up. I think you should add in the knee guard like the one on his right leg.

That, sir, is ungodly hot.

I agree with the feet/legs thing though. The twist on the left side of the cape looks a bit strange too. What if you had it twist all the way, instead of just 90 degrees, then 90 back? (so you can see the underside on the end)

I think kIRBY knows quite well how feet that can't hold structure look :P

But I do agree w/ most of the replies... I think you're on the right track as far as realistic digital painting goes... just keep practicing!

Thanks for the feed back :)

The feet were weird. There are about four different types of feet if you look at the concept art for the Protoss. I eventually went to one of the in game models with the feet look.

The armor is uneven in some places on purpose. It would be a pain to add more armor, or really anything to this picture except additional shading, but I doubt I'll touch it again. I'm well into another picture and I don't really have the time to go back.

But yeah, thanks for the feedback.

This is Starcraft, and trust me--that's how Protoss feet look. (other than that there's only 2 toes in front and one in back if you pay attention, and they're longer).

But goddamn, that **** looks ridiculous.

I wasn't saying that the feet DESIGN wasn't good. The way the feet are placed doesn't seem like they could support him. They need to be more spread out, and the angle needs to be different. It doesn't even look like the feet are on the floor, even.

Eh, it looks fine to me.

BTW--just realized it's a Dark Templar--they usually have no chest armor and a longass cape. Just so you know.
