Your world looks a bit too devoid of life. But its a WIP after all. Nice usage of the lighting.

Nice work. It does lack however texture diversity and props.

In the first shot, the shadows don't make sense if they're supposed to be daylight shadows. You need directional shadows, i.e. all parallel to each other. (I don't know much about the lighter plugin, but I do know directional shadows were taken into consideration by Sige).

In the first screenshot, there is only one light source. So if the shadows don't make sense, blame the way the plugin works. A lot of these shots were taken mid-way through the editing process, so things have been added to them since then. Thanks for the feedback!

There's a good bit of puzzles in the level, but mostly in the middle portions. The beginning and end of the level are more along the lines of discovery and revenge.

The plugin is working fine, it's calculating shadows correctly. It's the light placement that doesn't make sense. Unless the plugin has support for directional lights (as was discussed here)
you'll have to place your light source a few dozen JKUs up in the air so the shadows are as parallel as possible.

The way you put it, the sun is the same height as the walls in that room.

It's actually not the same height as the walls in the room, but then again it also isn't 20 JKUs high.

Maybe it's on a planet with a small sun-like moon hovering just some 30 feet above ground?

I think you can get away with the shadows, I didn't notice that until someone commented on it.
