T-Shirt Design

[SCROLL DOWN FOR ALTERNATE DESIGNS]

The font isn't final, and the black background is only simulating the color of black that'll be the shirt.

Here are my questions:
I want low contrast with the bodies and the t-shirt, but not so low as to being indistinguishable. I am sticking to the 3 colors of white, light blue, and a 3rd color, I'm just not sold on the 3rd color. Also, could the outline be a different color? I've tried white, blue, and grey, and it just washes it out even more.

Last but not least, should I put quotes, and -Midget Proverb or is that even needed? That was the original plan, but I thought it looked fine without.

It should definitely have quotes and be trailed by -Midget proverb on a new line.

You also really do need a different outline. I would think gray or grayish blue would work.

Tried it, kills the nose and makes you squint at the whole thing.

Hahaha, nice. I lol'd.

Do you plan on putting that whole square on, or just the pictures and the text?

I also don't think you need it in quotes or the -Midget Proverb thing. It's fine the way it is.

The midget proverb part makes it less funny

Like it was written by a guy with a neckbeard who quotes Monty Python all the time

I don't have a neckbeard :(

I didn't say you did

It just IMPLIES a neckbeard

People might see your shirt and then later remember you as having a neckbeard, even if you didn't

I actually rather like the first design (the black lines and the lack of quote-age). I don't think you have any cause for concern about it blending with the black shirt so long as their outfits are that dark brown color.

Also, I'd totally get that shirt... >.>

As a tall person, I'd buy it.
I like the black outline because it has a more classic cartoon feel to it.
However, the other feels more stylized and unique.
I can't decide which is better but I'm leaning toward the second.
And i agree, it's better without the quotes.

Did you draw the figures?

OMG SPAM

Blue outlines, no quotes!!!!

I think the outlines on the second version would work better on a shirt...higher contrast and so on. It's pretty cool, btw.
Consider moving the picture of the dudes a little more towards the upper left of the shirt maybe? This centered position gets boring quick (I also make my own shirts and started moving the prints around after the seventh centered one).

This makes no sense whatsoever.

The midget proverb part makes it much more funny. The only reason any of you got it without that is because you all know kirby is a midget to begin with.

People won't get it without the midget proverb, or it will take them a while at best.

I've submitted a completely different T-shirt design directly to the selling block.

It's a design for a t-shirt. Meant to be worn by people. So there'll be a visual cue in play that you don't get on the internet. ;)

...yes, if the people wearing it are only midgets.

The fact that it says to forgive tall people implies that it's being said by a short person.
