Yes, a new one :saddowns:

I have always sketched stupid little comic strips, so now I'm inking them and putting them on a website, woo!

The site is http://www.megastick.net

And since I should probably show something, here's a background I made yesterday.

Hahaha... I like the anti-common-cold monster. Very Day of the Tentacle. :neckbeard:

And do I detect a similarity to Carnage in the symbiote thing?

Not bad! You're off to a much better start than most new web comics.

Your webcomic doesn't suck....

I found some of them to be quite amusing.

Funny, but your character designs for the kids are complete Calvin and Hobbes ripoffs.
2007-12-07, 2:21 PM #7
Wow Shred, these are actually really good. I really hope that this is going to be an ongoing series for awhile because I see a lot of potential here. I am already liking the characters, though I think they should have their personalities show a little bit more so each character can have their own distinct qualities. Though I'm sure you'll work on that as time goes on.

Really good job, my only complaint is that you changed your alias to Mega. I have always liked and admired the great Shred18, not this Mega guy. :P

Whoa, you guys really like it? Would you read it if it was updated consistently? Right now I'm trying to update it every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (at least) but those color ones take a while to make. I've been busy, I'll have todays done sometime tomorrow probably :psyduck:

The cat is sort of a reference to calvin and hobbes. My cat in real life is named Calvin, because he's a little monster. I'm aiming for a simple line style like C&H, or peanuts.. not trying to rip them off though.

I've never played day of the tentacle! I should. But.. Carnage? :awesome:

Yes. At least, I would. I really do like it and I've already shown a few of my friends the comic and they thought it was funny too. My favorite one so far was where Calvin was pulling up the eyelids of the kid. Something about that was just really amusing.

Yeah it's kind of crazy that you've never played DotT, the main baddie in the game looks really similar to your anti-cold guy, and both of the characters are bent on world domination / and or human extermination. I immediately thought you were doing a tribute to him, but it's even cooler that you just so happened to have a similar design unintentionally.

Same here. I really do like the comic, and will definitely continue reading. ;)

I really like it. Your balance of story, humor, and nerd humor is exquisite. The art is also really good.

The lastest comic was pretty awesome. It really does remind me a lot of Calvin and Hobbes, and thats a great thing.

Nice!
Do you draw and scan, or do you use a tablet?

Both, I either sketch it out on the tablet, or pen and paper. It depends where I am at the time. Then I ink and color it with the tablet.
