so i couldnt sleep the other night and started drawing the bio armour of a Vo Hara Shangrahian warrior. I liked what i did pretty much, so today i started adding depth to it in PSP7.

Actually i think i got a little overzealous with detail...

if i am accepted for a loan, i can go to uni to do games design, and learn 3ds max.

I could try using Milkshape, but... nah, i dont think it could manage.

That's that race you developed some time ago, right? The one you said had (obviously) a similar evolutionary path as humans? I like their look quite a bit. Somehow they remind me of the Rakata from KotOR. I think it's the "ancient" look. Very well done.

Vo Hara is the name of the original race, Shangrah is the name of the religion/path they follow. They evolved from arboreal predators like us. 50% of their planet is warm Mangrove swap, with trees reaching 200 ft high (75% gravity of earth).

They're similar to us, except for the fact they use huge quantites of silicon in their biochemisty (including their DNA), their vision is shifted closer to red (purple appears as black/red), and their nervous system use bioluminiscent synapses.

standing erect they would be 7-8 ft tall. But their central spine is split in 3 areas, slouching is their natural stance.

Dont be fooled by the large head. Their brains are smaller than ours, the rest of the skull is hollow, allowing for huge twin vocal horns. (Their interface with technology is almost entirely audio based)

  • Because i edit a game thats over 10 years old...
  • Because I belong to massassi, and no other games forums
  • I hardly ever show my work
  • And i wont get hired by a games company until i have a degree, which i have been accepted a place for, but so far no loan to pay for it

I doubt you need a degree for things like concept art, modeling, texture art etc.

a degree in and art and games design which i've been accepted for already.

without a degree, i'd have to spend 3 years as a games tester and admin pen pusher within a crap company like EA, amongst a rabble of talentless geeky losers.
