Assault Transport!

Took me an exceptionally long time to finish this, but only because I only work on it here and there rather than the others, which I did within the span of a few weeks.

All I have left really is to add blemishes and dirt, and maybe a few more yellow markings (but I think the current painting is decent)

Wow, that looks great. Love the dark gray and highlight scheme.

Are those smaller dropship clamps on the bottom? Also, what's the top-mid viewport for, the cylinder one?

I would put a yellow marker somewhere on the bottom of the hull as well, that way any ships coming from directly below would know what faction/race/species/whatever it belongs to.

Yeah, not like the enemy would go around painting their ships black and yellow to confuse you.

I would imagine most ships identify themselves with some form of IFF.

As to the cylindrical viewport, not sure, it was kind of a last minute decision to make those windows there. Those are indeed clamps for smaller vehicles - intended for smaller ground support vehicles or light tanks.

If these guys make transports this badass, I would hate to meet their fighters.

The viewport reminds me of old WWII gunner seats, but the lack of fore view is what confused me.

Actually i think the lack of markings on the underside of the craft is a brilliant idea.
Think WWII for those of you fluent in history. German Nigt Attack squadrons would paint the tops of the aircraft a dark green/black and the undersides a midnight purplish, with no insignia.
So an enemy looking up, would be less likely to spot the craft.
Being an assault transport, one of its big advantages should be to remain lowly visible, specially as a dropship.
Anywho enough rambling lol.
