We had some interesting weather in the North East US today... a cold front with some thunder storms. As the storms rolled through, there was a gap in the clouds perfectly timed to coincide with sunset. I got these pictures from the NYS campground at Moffit Beach in the Adirondack Park earlier today.

There is too much of a glare on the first one I think, but I really like how the other 3 turned out. I especially like the dichotomy in colors once the sun set below the horizon... the purples/blues and the oranges/yellows complement each other really well I think.

Absolutely beautiful. I'm sure it was breathtaking just to stand there and take it all in. Nice composition and contrast. The second one reminds me of that old DirectX10 image showcasing the flight simulator game with the lake and the mountain backdrop. The water is just almost surreal in that image. It's my favorite for sure.

Wow, that's awesome. I'm in upstate New York and got the weather but no nice sunset like that. :(

They're very nice. I feel annoyed now that I have to stare at concrete 24/7.

I'm actually going to school in Clinton outside of Utica. I'm a senior so I've kind of lived here for almost four years now. I've also got family in Plattsburg so I've spent a good amount of time up there as well.
