As many of you know over the summer I did some work for Mr. Tankian. His new DVD / CD comes out in March, but a bunch of theaters across various parts of the world are having screenings of the show before it's release. I got to do the movie poster that's being sent out to these theaters. It's simple enough, but I like it. You can tell I designed this while drinking Johnny Walker Black Label, but don't tell anyone :awesome:. Below are two slightly different images of the same thing. The tan bar in the middle is where these theaters will be writing in the time and date of the screening.

I really like the work overall. Good job Big S! I was originally going to say that I liked the dark tanned line, now that you mention its intended as a place for theaters to write in, the lighter version will work infinitely better.

I agree with Jep in regards to the brighter tan highlight. However, I think you should move the black/tan/black diagonal bars down a tad further, (and the text that goes along with them) so that you can widen the top black bar slightly to fit more of the title "Elect The Dead Symphony" As it stands, it seems a little bit crowded in that top black bar. I hope that makes sense.

I think the text would be hard to read at a distance.

Theres something about it that I just don't quite like... I'm not sure at the moment though. I know I definitely don't like the angled & center justified text at the bottom though.
