Mass Effect 2 Fans rejoice!

OK, now I hadn't expected this to go that quickly. The model took me about a month of 'occassional working'. Textureing and OPTing took 2 days. I don't think I've ever had such a flow. Of course, having clear references to work with makes things much easier.

Anyway, here it is, the Normandy SR2 in all its glory.

I needed to do some minor adjustments to the Normandy’s weapons layout. In Star Wars capital ships are usually slow, but large and equipped with a multitude of weapons with a wide firing ark, delivering moderate damage. In the ME universe ships usually only have a small amount of very powerful forward-firing weapons, therefore the ships are usually faster and more agile. To make the Normandy work in SW I have added another pair of Turbolasers to the tube-like extensions on top of the rear fins, also made the Thanix Cannons behave like a gun turret so it could fire in multiple directions. I also set the speed pretty high for a ship of that size. So while I somewhat adjusted it to XWA limitations, I still think it’s going to be a different experience to fly.

As usuyl you can get this OPT at your trusted X-Wing HQ

Now for some pics :) The first one is rendered, the rest is ingame.

The perspective in the first 2 screens make it look really short, but otherwise it looks accurate
