That's pretty slick, but what's up with the weird hard edges on the seams?

I'm not sure what you mean. The model is meant to have some hard edges between the roof and the sides, and at the back. If you mean the aliasing on the detail lines, that's just normal mapping being a pain in the ass.

Looks like a mouse. A computer mouse and an actual mouse, depending on how you look at it.

I tried to circle what I was talking about. The edges circled just seem like they are very harsh on an otherwise slick and smooth vehicle. I'm not sure if it's just the way the lighting is hitting them on the render or what. Just thought I'd point it out. Still really cool looking though, reminds me of something out of Minority Report.

[edit] I know that some of those lines are for things like the panels on the car and door edges but I still think they look a bit off.

The left and right ones on the first picture and the one on the second are parts of the hipoly that were baked into the normal map:

The other one is just the back edge of one of the doors. Not sure what looks "off" about it, other than being too pronounced maybe.

Hell yes.

I like it. It reminds me of the police cars from Bullfrog's Syndicate, even though if it does look like a mouse. Also, I'm surprised noone mentioned the fact that the world "POLICE" is written backwards (front of the car). Cheers!

That's intentional. It's so you can read it in your rear view mirror.

haha, all emergency vehicles have the words spelled backwards so you can read it in the rear view mirror. look at a fire truck, police care or ambulance next time you see one.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

To be fair, police and ambulance livery varies wildly from region to region. A lot of cop cars (like the real NYPD, actually) have it spelled forwards.

I'll make sure to do that if I ever visit the States. :)
