This spacecraft idea has been floating around in my head and on paper for years. Finally, here's a proof-of-concept type shot to show off. :) This is very rough draft so far. The bottom half of the engines and front bits will be a mirror of the top.

The editor is Autodesk Alias Automotive. It's the only NURBS editor that I've been able to get full access to so far (I suck at vertex editing).

Nice. Vaguely Star Trek-ish.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Reminds me of the Batmanmobile for some reason. And a bit of a NOD unit from one of the first couple of C&C games.

Yeah, the engine nacelles were totally Star Trek for a while. I'm trying to get away from that to make the thing more realistic. Putting some sort of air intakes on the front of them should help a lot. If this ever gets to the point of texturing I'll probably still "paint" a blue stripe down the side of the nacelles, though.

GJ, but it's sorta generic. There's lots of sci-fi ships like this, you know.

But keep developing it! The details might change its character quite a bit.

Looks a bit flat on the bottom.
Even Trek Ships have some details.
Could just be the angle.
May I suggest some form of support Nacelle on the bottom?

I'll see about getting a picture with the top/bottom symmetry turned on.

Reminds me a little bit of the spinners from "Blade Runner" (my all time fave film). I think textures are what will make or break this. The design is simple and streamlined, but sometimes simple is highly underrated. I really like the design, don't add more just for the hell of it, just make sure you texture the thing artfully, and I think it will be awesome! :)
