because why not? it's something I did. here's the process:

started out by designing this in illustrator:


printed it out to use as a template:


taped it over my griptape and cut it out:


spraypainted the ribbon burgundy red (a perfect choice in my opinion):


assembled it:


final product!

Just curious, why did you design it red, and print it out red, only to spraypaint it burgundy? Other than that, cool design!

because I saw burgundy spray paint in the hardware store and was all 'i want dat'

this is now my 'illustrator art' thread instead of just longboard art, because this wouldn't quite fit on a board.

That's really nice! I had no idea you could draw like that.

But then again, you were always an awesome texture artist IIRC, so I shouldn't be too suprised.

actually i've never been a good texture artist, haha. always been more 3d-minded, so i'm just as surprised.
