shimmering lights
on the horizon
lead their ships astray


dew drops on blades of grass
are for their friends
who sleep on land


the storm gains power
wooden planks creak
and waves break against the decks


they're but a sunset's travel
from firm land
from family, from friends


if only not for lights
on the horizon
that lead their ships astray
