What the thread title says. Doing an Iron Man theme.
First I had to deal with the buttons. I'm drilling them out to mount LEDs inside so they light up when the controller is powered on. Also note the clear home button, which I'm also drilling out for the purpose of illumination.
I found that the best way to do this was to put a few layers of tape around the button to prevent it from scratching/breaking under pressure and get it just snug enough in some vise grips to keep the button from spinning when drilling it out.
Here are all of the buttons drilled out and ready to go.
Here's a base coat on most of the controller parts. It looks kind of pink on my camera for some reason, and I'm not going to take the time to correct it for WIP shots.
After some strategic masking after the base coat, I added some gold accents. I forgot to take a picture of it all masked up, because I'm a dumbass.
