Looks good! Some of the screens remind me of a Borderlands type graphics. Not sure if that's what you were going for but it looks cool!

Looking pretty good. I'd see if you can find some way to break up those large swaths of floor texture, though.

thanks guys! yeah, once i have the basic architecture and texturing done for the whole thing, i want to go back and make a few more "alternate" textures just to kind of break some of the monotony up.

On a COMPLETELY different note! I actually think i am getting the hang of hand painting hard surface textures!
Just a metal surface with some light scratching and chipped paint.

And a little something else too.
I know the texures are kind of ugly, but this is just practice.

The last one looks a bit more like someone's been ripping off foil to find rust-like stuff but otherwise looking very nice (far better than what I could come up with).

heh, yeah it really does kind of look like that...

Well, here is another one i am starting. finished the "high poly" model in blender then baked it into an image. probably going to add more detail to the model and re-bake it before i start "texturing" it.

Just quickly put some textures from CGTextures.com overlaid onto it. did a little bit of edge scratching in some spots, but cut back on it overall.


And what i THINK will be the final rendition of this one!

Well, you can have larger than 256x256 textures in JK (with 512x1024 stuff you just have to tile the texture twice so it becomes 1024x1024 and then it'll be fine). Or maybe you'll have to mess with the LOD distance stuff.

At any rate, with TODOA I always edited with the 256 stuff and only put the 512/1024/2048 stuff in before final GOBbing.
